Dr. Jungho Suh is an award-winning management professor and keynote speaker specializing in evidence-based entrepreneurship, strategic human resource management, and leadership in the age of AI. As a Teaching Assistant Professor at the George Washington University School of Business and Project Director of the Korean Management Institute, he bridges academic rigor with real-world business strategy. His work helps organizations build innovative, resilient, and human-centered systems that integrate AI responsibly while strengthening talent, culture, and performance.
Dr. Suh is the author of the forthcoming book New Venture Creation: Evidence-Based Entrepreneurship in the Age of AI. Nadeen El Maalouf
Senior Research Associate
Nadeen El Maalouf is a Senior Research Associate at the Work–Play Nexus, where she works closely with Dr. Jungho Suh on research and applied projects at the intersection of AI and entrepreneurial strategy. She contributes to literature development, experimental design, data analytics, and research communication for both academic and industry-facing initiatives.
Nadeen is a Global STEM MBA candidate at the George Washington University School of Business. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the American University of Beirut. Her multidisciplinary background spans engineering, digital marketing, data analytics, and consulting, which allows her to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable insights.
Before joining GW, Nadeen worked across the Middle East and the U.S. in roles that blended strategy, data, and innovation. She began her career in the NGO sector in crisis management before transitioning into data strategy and digital marketing. In Dubai, she led digital initiatives for L’Oréal’s luxury beauty brands, collaborating with partners such as Google, Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat. She also planned and executed a digital transformation project for a solar energy company, streamlining operations and boosting efficiency.
At GW, Nadeen is deeply involved in applied learning and leadership. She serves as the Executive Vice President of the Forté Board, led a Consulting Abroad Project (CAP) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) exploring AI integration in the UAE public sector, and completed a consulting project in Argentina with Hilton Hotels, reimagining their fine dining experience.
Her research and professional interests include consumer behavior, digital transformation, AI-driven innovation, and the future of work. She is passionate about bridging rigorous research with real-world application, and about designing data-driven strategies that elevate customer and organizational experience.
Lorraine Hanson

Her background includes overseeing marketing and international sales for a company serving luxury hotels in Costa Rica, as well as acting as a liaison between corporate partners and community initiatives in the non-profit field. Currently working in the hospitality industry, Ms. Hanson continues to explore the intersection of hospitality and community building.
Her research experience is grounded in qualitative data analytics and systematic literature review methods, where she applies analytical rigor to investigate trends at the nexus of marketing, management, and tourism. Her passion lies in fostering experiences that create a genuine sense of belonging while supporting local development and environmental responsibility.
Kristin Gissubel
Junior Research Associate / Executive Assistant
Kristin Gissubel is an undergraduate business student at The George Washington University, concentrating in International Business and Marketing. She brings hands-on marketing experience across diverse sectors, including nonprofit organizations, public policy, and hospitality.
At Work-Play Nexus, Kristin serves as a Marketing and Insights Associate, where she develops digital strategies and branded content to strengthen organizational visibility and engagement. She is also conducting research for Professor Suh’s upcoming textbook, contributing analysis and insights focused on entrepreneurship and innovation.
Kristin has further refined her marketing skill set through multiple internship experiences. At The Digital Chamber, she supported marketing analytics initiatives, SEO performance tracking, and large-scale event coordination to promote blockchain policy and advocacy efforts. Additionally, during her time at UpCampus Properties, she analyzed hospitality and housing trends to support the marketing of luxury real estate to prospective tenants.
Passionate about bridging academic research with real-world marketing applications, Kristin is eager to create data-driven, impactful marketing solutions and make a meaningful contribution to the field.
